PREPARING YOUR SKIN FOR YOUR WEDDING
The wedding bells are here! Just a few more months before you exchange your vows with the love of your life. Almost done with the detailing. From your gown to flowers to the seating arrangement of your guests… And you are now in the state where you’re thinking “what else has to be done?”, because you dont wanna miss even the smallest thing. Most of the times, due to so many things running in your mind about your big day, you tend to forget about your skin. So what about it? you may ask….
Wedding day beauty should not begin on the day itself while you are seating in your Professional Make Up Artist’s chair. Yes, blemishes and other imperfections can be concealed with expertly applied make up. However, when you have a good skin in its natural state, the most glowing it will be with make up, which makes you the most radiant bride ever!
Check these tips on how and when to start prepping your skin before your wedding day…
Visit your Dermatologist (6 months to at least 4 months before)
Dermatologist can help you with acne by prescribing topical creams, oral pills or facial treatments. Inform her your wedding date and ask for recommendations on which treatment you have to undergo considering the time because optimal results may take months. Make sure to discuss the schedule with her.
Perform a basic skin care routine (at least 3 months before)
Black heads, white heads, and dry flaky skin will all benefit from a daily skin care routine – cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and applying a night cream before bed time. Do this at least 3 months before your wedding to achieve excellent results.
Get a facial massage ( 1 week before)
Relieve yourself from all the stress you acquire from all the planning! Have a facial massage, as well as whole body massage if you can.
Scrub your lips ( day before)
Lips are skin too! They also need hydration and exfoliation. You can do this by lightly rubbing them with virgin coconut oil with granules of sugar or lightly brushing them with a soft-bristled toothbrush (wet, of course) then apply lip balm.
Last and the easiest!!!
Drink lots and lots of water because that is the real secret to great skin. Make it habit!
It is your wedding day! Everything is well planned in advance. All you have to do now is relax and let your Make Up Artist make you like the princess that you really are!
